The Arlington Youth Counseling Center (AYCC) is a welcoming and inclusive community mental health center and the leading provider of outpatient and school-based mental health services for Arlington youth and their families. AYCC offers individual and family counseling, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management to Arlington youth, ages 3-21, and their adult caregivers. Additionally, we strive to identify and address racial and systemic inequities that impact youth mental health and access to mental health services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and family counseling for children, adolescents, and their adult family members/caregivers. Counseling may be clinic- or school-based, and/or via telehealth.
• Develop strengths-based and solution focused treatment plans that reflect identified problems and measurable goals of treatment.
• Complete timely and thorough documentation, utilizing AYCC’s EHR system, in accordance with AYCC policy, insurance requirements, and State regulations.
• Attend regular clinical supervision, as well as staff meetings and in-service trainings as required by AYCC administrators.

Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related mental health field from an accredited program
  Independent licensure (LICSW/LMHC/PhD.), or license eligible
• One to three years clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families
• Excellent clinical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
• Experience using an electronic medical records system, or a willingness to learn
• CANS certification, or a willingness to become CANS certified
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
